The USA Swimming Foundation, in association with Phillips 66, will kick off the sixth annual Make a Splash Tour presented by Phillips 66 on May 6, 2014 in Sweeny, Texas, with a series of press events, water safety information sessions and free to low-cost swimming lessons at local partner pools throughout the country.
U.S. Olympic gold medalists Nathan Adrian (Bremerton, Wash.) and Matt Grevers (Lake Forest, Ill.) will take part in PlayAbility Toys’ Play Date from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. MT on Saturday at Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind.
It takes more than four fast swimmers to make a great relay. Transitions between each swimmer are critical. A slow takeoff or false start can be the difference between winning or losing the relay – or the entire meet, for that matter.
